This vehicle is aimed at the smaller mining and bulk earth-works contractors that require a fast versatile vehicle that is suitable for short or long haul operation. The very high power to weight ratio of 6.9 kW/t GVM offers astonishing uphill performance when pulling out of excavations or operating in hilly country. Continuous cruise speeds of up to 80 km/h are possible on good surfaces even when fully laden. Custom specified gearing allows fully laden starts on inclines as steep as 1 in 3. This vehicle can be fitted with high flotation sand tyres for operation in sandy or desert terrain.

Service brake wear is kept to a minimum through the use of the standard Jacobs engine brake which is capable of handling most dynamic braking requirements. Communication between the engine and transmission ensures correct gear selection for all conditions, ensuring optimal performance, fuel consumption, and maximum safety where dynamic braking is provided by the engine brake. Engine and transmission are also protected against overheating and low fluid levels.

A bonneted design with a hood tilt angle of 90 degrees ensures easy access to all items requiring servicing in the engine compartment.
